                 9th Annual Hardwood Challenge Tournament

                                           May 4 – May 5, 2013

LOCATION: Utica, New York


Facilities: (3) gyms @ Mohawk Valley Community College & (5) other gyms within 5 miles apart

                  with concession stands. Directions will be provided with tournament confirmation package.


Grade divisions:  5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th (age determination as per AAU eligibility rules)

Registration fee:  $375.00 payable on April 19, 2013 (Early bird option $345.00 if paid by April 6, 2013)

Team roster deadline:  Due by April 19, 2013


Tournament format:  Pool play with 3 games guarantee


Tournament rules: 16 minute halves with stop time, clock runs if one team is ahead of the

                               other by 20 points or more – returns to stop time below 20 points, 2 full time

                               outs per half. 6 fouls to foul out. 1 & 1 after 10 team fouls. Any player

                               receiving 2 technical fouls will be disqualified for that game and the

                               remainder of the tournament. Overtime period is 2 minutes with stop

                               time. A 30 second time out will be granted to each team in the overtime

                               period. The second overtime period will be sudden death. Time keeper

                               and game ball will be provided at each game. Teams are responsible

                               for score keeper. The first team listed in the games will be designated

                               the home team and must provide a score keeper to maintain the

                               official book.


Awards: Team trophies and tee shirts for 1st place teams in each grade division
